It is located on Terengganu River and it is one of the modern architecture created by a Terengganu Royal Prince. The shining white mosque is regarded as a new icon in the nation's Islamic architecture.
In fact, the construction of this mosque also contains local characteristics with the use of marble stone, ceramics and brominates.
The construction of this mosque was from Almarhum the Sultan of Terengganu, Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail Nasaruddin Shah inspiration. The mosque is named after his mother, Tengku Intan Zaharah binti Almarhum Tengku Seri Setia Raja. The peacefulness of this mosque is distinctive with the beauty of South China Sea, making it an attractive tourist destination in Terengganu.

This mosque is located in Teluk Ibai, only 4 kilometers from Kuala Terengganu city and nearby Terengganu beach area.

This mosque is situated along Sultan Mahmud Road, about 4 kilometers from Kuala Terengganu city. From Kuala Terengganu, you need to follow the direction heading to south towards Marang or Kuantan either by bus or car . After about 6 – 8 km, you would be able to see the mosque by the road side on the left.
