The occasion was held on May 25th, 2014 (Sunday) started from Dataran Batu Burok to Dataran Shahbandar, Kuala Terengganu with the distance of 3.2 km. The `Purple Walk' was an annual event that involved women from all government agencies, NGO's, women associations and High Learning Institutions students.

The participants were released by YB. Haji Muhammad Pehimi bin Yusof, the Terengganu Chairman of Health Committee, Women's Development, Family and Society at Dataran Batu Burok while YAB. Dato' Hj. Ahmad Razif bin Abd. Rahman, Terengganu Chief Minister launched the Purple Walk programme at Dataran Shahbandar, Kuala Terengganu.
