On 20th February 2016, Kuala Terengganu City Council through the MBKT Sports and Welfare Club ( KESUMBA ), had organized Treasure Hunt MBKT 2016 tour program in conjunction with the 8th Anniversary Celebration of the Declaration of Kuala Terengganu as Waterfront Heritage City. The release of participants was completed by Kuala Terengganu Development Officer, YBhg. Datuk Haji Mohd Sabri Bin Alwi. The program was attended by a total of 54 cars, started at Dataran Shahbandar, and ended in Pantai Batu Buruk, involving areas around the districts of Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus. The prizes for the winners and the lucky draw was officiated by the Mayor, YBhg Dato' Haji Mohamad Kamil bin Othman in the afternoon at the MBKT Exclusive Club, Pantai Batu Buruk.
